We read every message sent to this address. We aim to respond to questions within 48 hours on working days, though during busy periods responses may take a little longer. This page explains what we can and cannot help with, so you can assess whether emailing us is likely to be useful for your specific question.
What We Can Help With
Corrections and factual updates. If you have found a factual error in one of our guides, we want to know immediately. Travel information changes frequently, and we depend on readers to flag outdated content, closed businesses, changed visa requirements, incorrect prices, and other details that have shifted since a guide was published. We treat correction requests as a priority and act on them the same day when we can.
Please include: the specific guide (URL or title), the specific error, and the correct information with a source if you have one.
Questions the guides do not answer. If you have a question about a destination or travel situation that our guides do not cover, telling us helps us understand what is missing from the site. We will often add that information to the relevant guide.
Topic and destination requests. If there is a destination, topic, or type of content you would like us to cover that falls within the travel subject area, let us know. We use reader requests to inform our editorial planning. We cannot guarantee to cover specific requests, but frequently-requested topics do influence what we prioritise.
Feedback on the site. If something about how the site works, how information is presented, or the usefulness of a specific guide could be better, we genuinely want to hear it.
What We Cannot Help With
Personal visa advice. Our visa guides provide general information about the requirements for each destination, the application process, and the common pitfalls. We are not immigration lawyers and cannot advise on individual applications, appeal situations, or complex circumstances. For anything beyond standard tourist visa questions, consult a qualified immigration advisor or the relevant embassy directly.
Medical or vaccination advice. Our health guides provide general travel health information based on guidance from health authorities. For personal medical advice before a trip, specifically for health conditions you have, medications you take, or personal risk factors, consult a travel health clinic or your GP. The NHS Fit for Travel service (UK) and the CDC Travelers’ Health website (US) are good starting points for destination-specific health information.
Emergency situations. If you are in an emergency abroad, contact local emergency services (the emergency number varies by country; our safety hub lists these for major destinations), and then contact your country’s embassy or consulate. We are not equipped to provide real-time emergency support.
Real-time flight or booking disruption. We do not have access to live booking systems, flight status information, or individual booking records. For flight disruptions, contact your airline directly. For booking issues, contact the platform you booked through.
General travel recommendations for your specific itinerary. We can point you to the relevant destination guides, planning guides, and advice content on the site, but we cannot build itineraries or provide personalised travel consultancy.
For Guest Contributions
We accept a limited number of guest contributions from writers with specific expertise in travel subjects we do not cover adequately from our own team’s experience. Guest contributions must meet the same standards as team content: direct personal experience, specific rather than generic information, accurate primary research.
We do not accept: guest posts written for SEO link-building purposes, content that promotes specific businesses or destinations in exchange for payment or links, or content on non-travel subjects. See the Write For Us page for full requirements.
For Media and Press
For media enquiries, interview requests, or requests for expert commentary on travel subjects, contact contact@advice4travel.com with “Media” in the subject line. We ask for at least 48 hours notice for commentary requests, and longer for anything requiring significant research.
What Not to Send
We do not respond to: PR pitches for destinations, hotels, or products seeking editorial coverage; link exchange or link-building requests; advertising enquiries (we do not accept paid advertising); or approaches from SEO agencies.
